I researched each element's name, atomic weight, chemical abbreviation, and keywords or phrases associated with the element. The four elements I chose randomly from a box were Sodium, Plutonium, Lithium, and Carbon. I explored abstract images to express my ideas and elements attributes.

Abstract images are "non-representational images that are not recognizable as any particular thing." Textures, patterns, shapes, and colors are all abstract images. The color red used for Plutonium evokes "warmth" or "fire". It can also be used metaphorically, such as the fireworks used in Carbon shows the most being "energetic".
